Client Focus | A good start to the new year is a renovation plan
When Katie from Irvine, California (USA) moved into her 1970’s-era home in early 2013, she decided that 2013 was the year to start renovating her home. Taking down the standard five-light chandelier in her dining room, Katie leaned towards the style of industrial barn pendants and has since purchased an Ivanhoe Bomber Porcelain Barn Light. The barn-style fixtures fit well with the design she is creating for her new home.
“I chose the Bomber, and especially the Jadite color because it had that streamlined, vintage-yet-fresh feel I like. The color accents the greys and yellows I have in the room and matches my small collection of jadite items perfectly!” Our Bomber barn pendant light is one of Barn Light Australia‘s most versatile fixtures in our range of ceiling lights.
While we powdercoat our own product here in Australia, our Porcelain Enamel range is American-made on Florida’s Space Coast. Available in four different shade sizes, it’s our only shade style that comes in odd sizes, 11″, 13″, 15″ and 17″ with the choice of nine shiny and durable porcelain enamel glass finish colors (additional colours available via airfreight). Our Porcelain is an ideal choice for those wishing to purchase products that last a lifetime as the finish will never fade or corrode and is simple to maintain. A classic warehouse shade with a wide light dispersal, one per room is going to provide more than sufficient lighting for all of your industrial lighting needs.
“My style is clean and classic, vintage, and homey touches that create a collected, eclectic feel,” she explains. “I think the barn light fits in great with that vibe.” And while Katie admits she’s only beginning the renovation process, she is quite happy with how her first project turned out.
“I love the color of the light best. It just makes me happy,” Katie says. “I was also surprised at how well it lights up the area. I had been worried that I would miss the light our old chandelier provided since it lit above and below, but the Bomber gives off ample light. And I love how it matches my jadite salt and pepper shakers!”
