  • 1x 8-32x 1/2″ Earth Screw (Pan Phillips)
  • E27 Lamp Holder (F517-CLIPPED)
  • Silicon Thread Tape Roll

 

RIGHT COLUMN

  • 2x Small O-Rings (BUNA #115-N70)
  • 1x Earth Terminal
  • 1x 20mm Nipple – 2 & 1/2 Threads Long (Derived from Extended Hex Couplers)

*PROCESS*

  • Using the 8-32 HSS Tap, insert into a power drill (DO NOT USE HAMMER) and retap all five holes.
  • Brush out the retap shavings from the atomic cap over a bin.

 

DO NOT BLOW INTO THE CAP

*TECHNIQUE*

  • Holding the Atomic Nipple in your LEFT Hand with two complete threads on the left. The 1/2″ cut thread facing out.
  • Thread Tape in your RIGHT hand.
  • Start the Thread and circle CLOCKWISE.

 

THE THREAD TAPE WILL CLUMP WHEN THREADING BEGINS IF YOU DEVIATE!

*TECHNIQUE*

  • Wrap the thread-tape tightly, ensuring at least three overlaps, working your way to the left.
  • Repeat working towards your right.
  • Cut the thread tape with wire cutters or similar diagonally to make the next threading process easier.

 

THE THREADS SHOULD BE VISIBLE HOWEVER NO LONGER SHARP.

*TECHNIQUE*

  • Insert the “1/2” cut threaded portion of the nipple into the Atomic Cap rotating clockwise.
  • Place the Small O-Ring over the FIRST group of threads, nestled into the unthreaded area.

*PROCESS*

  • Insert the 1/4″ Grub Screw and tighten
  • The Grub Screw should sit flush with the external surface.

*PROCESS*

  • As shown, notice the O-Ring will small overlap.
  • Screw the nipple all the way until the small O-Ring sits flush within the cavity.

  • Insert the 1/4″ Grub Screw and tighten
  • The Grub Screw should sit flush with the external surface.

Generic G3 Assemblies

  • G3 Elbow
    [AU-P-G3#A]
  • G3 Stem
    [AU-P-G3#B]
  • Small O-Ring
    [BUNA #113]
  • 5/64″ or 2.5mm Hex / T-Bar

*TECHNIQUE*

  • Holding the G3 Stem in your LEFT Hand
  • Thread Tape in your RIGHT hand.
  • Start the Thread and circle CLOCKWISE while the stem is facing you.

THE THREAD TAPE WILL CLUMP WHEN THREADING BEGINS IF YOU DEVIATE!

*PROCESS*

Holding the 90′ Elbow, ensure the “USA” portion faces towards the floor. “USA” should always be horizontal once installed.

 

  • Once completely inserted, install the small O-Ring by rolling it into the flat portion of the G3 Elbow.
  • Using the T-Bar/Hex Bar, Close the small grub screws until you feel resistance.

*TECHNIQUE*

  • Holding the 3-Wires in your hand, “bend” the wires using your thumb or tool.
  • Pushing the “Bent” wires into the G3’s 90’s Elbow will permit the wires to fall through easily.

 

ATTEMPTING TO PUSH WIRES FROM THE OTHERSIDE IS A FOOLS ERRAND

*PROCESS*

  • Push the wires until you have sufficient wire on both sides of the G3 Straight Arm.
  • Thread the wire through the 20mm Atomic Cap.

*PROCESS*

  • Rotate the Atomic Cap onto the G3 Straight Arm with wires loose until flush.

 

IF YOU ROTATE THE STRAIGHT ARM AROUND THE CAP, WIRES WILL BRAID. DONT DO THIS.

*PROCESS*

  • Strip the Earth Wire leaving 5mm of wire exposed.
  • Using a wire crimper, terminate the Earth Wire into the Earth Terminal.
  • Affix using standard 8-32×3/4″ Pan Phillips Screw (Earth Screw)

*TECHNIQUE*

  • With the Earth Terminal showing at 12 O’Clock. The earth wire should be facing at 4 O’Clock – Tighten the Earth screw.

 

THIS PROCESS IS IMPORTANT.

IF THE EARTH WIRE IS WITH THE CENTRE CAVITY,  ONCE THE CLIPPED E27 LAMPHOLDER IS INSTALLED THE LAMPHOLDER WILL “PUSH” THE EARTH TERMINAL, CAUSING CONTACT AND PUTTING STRAIN ON THE WIRE & TERMINAL

ATOMIC INDUSTRIAL

  • Insert Atomic Gasket & line holes up with the 20mm Atomic Cap Assembly. Continue to next line.

ATOMIC FLARED

  • Place shade within the recessed space as outlined on the 20mm Atomic Cap Assembly.

*TECHNIQUE*

  • Place the Atomic Base onto the gasket and ensure the holes line up. Small overlays of Atomic Gasket will become troublesome.
  • Insert 2x of the 8-32×3/4 Counter Sunk Screws and tighten down 80%.

 

USE TWO SCREW DRIVERS TO ASSIST LINING UP IF NECESSARY (ESPECIALLY WHEN USING FLARES!

*TECHNIQUE*

  • Insert the remaining 2x of the 8-32×3/4 Counter Sunk Screws and tighten down 100%.
  • Tighten the remaining screws.
  • Cut, Strip & Fold the Lead & Neutral Wires (Brown/Blue)

*PROCESS*

  • Close the Lead & Neutral Wires (Brown/Blue) into the F517-Clip E27 Lampholder.
  • Push the Clipped Lampholder into the Atomic Base.

 

NOTICE THE SMALL NOTCHES, ENSURE THE LAMPHOLDER CLIPS INTO THIS TO STOP THE LAMPHOLDER “SWAY”

*PROCESS*

  • Peel & Remove the protective Thread-Tape from the exterior of the Atomic Base.

 

If you notice any significant bumps of powdercoat, please text using a cast guard. The cast guard should not provide resistance.

*PROCESS*

  • Using a 5/64″ or 2.5mm Allen Key/T-Bar, Close the small grub screw at the bottom of the G3 Straight Arm around the Nipple.
  • You may need to use a special Allen key for this due to the tight space.

  • Insert Atomic O-Ring Gasket (BUNA 235-N70) to finish.
