TOOLS
- Small Flathead Screwdriver
- Small Philips Screwdriver
- Safety Razor
- m3 x 8mm Screws
Ensure the countersunk holes are facing upwards.

PROCESS
- Remove Gasket (GAK-0023) from supplied ziplock bag.
- Remove the plastic backing from the gasket using the Flathead Screwdriver to separate layers.
- Do not touch the centre of the gasket with your fingers.

PROCESS
- Remove the centre of the gasket – discard the remainder of the gasket and plastic film
- With the blue paper side facing you, align the the gasket with the centre “wave” of the die-casting.
- Press firmly to seat the gasket securely.

PROCESS
Flip the heatsink in your hand. There are two M3 threaded holes that are directly underneath the gasket.
Using a fine Philips head screw driver, poke to leave an impression on the gasket & paper film.

PROCESS
Using a Philips Screwdriver – Poke through the impressions created on the paper film.
Ensure the gasket has not lifted but firmly rolling the gasket onto the die-casting surface after the holes are created.

PROCESS
This process is important to minimise oils and dust from transferring onto the gasket.
Using your thumb and flat head screwdriver, carefully peel the paper film off.
DO NOT TOUCH THE GASKET WITH YOUR FINGERS

PROCESS
VITALLY IMPORTANT
Notice the location of the POSITIVE TERMINAL (+) on the Molex Holder.
Always keep the + Terminal at your TOP RIGHT of your table where possible.

VITALLY IMPORTANT
Notice the location of the POSITIVE TERMINAL (+) on the CXA2520 LED Chipset.
Always keep the + Terminal at your TOP RIGHT of your table where possible.
The LED will be placed “Sunny Side Down” with (+) Positive Terminals touching.

CLOSE UP
- The Molex LED holder has a “spring clip” made of plastic.
- This spring *pushes* against the LED after installation to hold the LED in place.
- The spring is quite brittle and will break if tools are used.
DO NOT USE A FLATHEAD SCREWDRIVER AT ANY STAGE OF THIS PROCESS.

PROCESS
Ensuring the POSITIVE (+) Terminals are aligned.
Position the LED directly underneath the spring, but over the copper POSITIVE (+) terminal.
Using a clean thumb, gently push down and up against the plastic spring. You will feel a small click as the spring clip falls over the LED securely.

PROCESS
Place 2x M3x8mm Screws into the Molex Holes.

PROCESS
Align the screws to the holes made in the gasket.
DO NOT SCREW IN 100% JUST YET
Screw until each screw catches the threads – approximately 10%.

PROCESS
- Push the (now centred) Molex/LED Chipset into the gasket firmly.
- Once seated, close the screws up completely.
– DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN –
this damages the LED resulting in subpar performance due to heat stress.

PROCESS
Taking a Safety razor, get ready to remove excess gasket from the heatsink.
Ensure you start with a fresh blade, DO NOT push excessively on the heatsink as you’ll dull the blade very quickly.

PROCESS
Cut the excess gasket off using straight clean lines.
IF THE BLADE IS DULL THIS WILL PULL THE GASKET FROM UNDERNEATH THE LED RESULTING IN PREMATURE FAILURE
You’ll need to make three clean cuts per side, total of six cuts. Use the blade to removed excess gasket, it will get sticky over time.

PROCESS
This is the result of clean cuts – No visible gasket on the heat-sink surface.

PROCESS
Obtain SILVER LABELS as marked.

LED PROTECTOR
REMOVE BEFORE USE
==================

PROCESS
Overlay two (2x) Silver Labels per chipset, bottom over the top label to ensure the LED is sealed from the enviroment.
Customer must use the Atomic Glass, Remove this sticker from the LED and reinstall the glass prior to being energised (switched on). The label will burn otherwise with minimal damage vs. dust particles entering.

PACKAGING
Place completed ATOMIC LED UNIT into the bag that the Atomic Gasket (GAK-0023) was provided in for dust proofing.
ENSURE YOU MARK THE BAG WITH THE COLOUR TEMPERATURE FOR LATER USE.
